A total of three appointments will be needed to place porcelain dental veneers at our Seattle-area practice in Woodinville. Here's what you can expect on each visit to Today's Dentistry:

First Appointment - Veneers Consultation

During your first visit, you will consult with either Dr. Marxen or Dr. Yang, who will answer any questions you may have about porcelain veneers and discuss the advantages and limitations of the treatment. They will determine whether you are a good candidate for porcelain veneers and explain what you can expect from the procedure.

Second Appointment - Preparing the Teeth

During your second visit, your teeth will be prepared for the bonding of the veneers. The teeth will be lightly buffed and about a half a millimeter of enamel will be removed. This ensures your teeth will not appear any larger after the veneers have been applied. One of our dentists will take an impression of your teeth so that a dental laboratory may craft your customized porcelain veneers. Our Seattle-area office in Woodinville will receive the veneers in a few weeks.

Final Appointment - Placing the Veneers

During your final visit to our office, your porcelain veneers will be applied. Our doctors will temporarily place the veneers on your teeth to ensure that they fit correctly and match the color of your surrounding teeth. Ideally, the veneers will feel comfortable and look natural in your mouth. Dr. Marxen and Dr. Yang can make adjustments by trimming the veneer or altering its color to achieve the desired look. The teeth that will be fitted with veneers will be cleaned, polished, and etched to form a secure binding surface. The veneer will then be carefully placed and firmly cemented onto the teeth. Final adjustments will be made, and you will leave our office with a brilliant, fully restored smile.
